The B4639 serves the northeast of the city of Worcester. The road was built around 2000 and was presumably classified from the outset.
The road starts at traffic lights on the B4550 in an industrial estate in the Blackpole area of the city. It heads east along Cotswold Way, with light industry to the left and housing to the right but with no buildings actually fronting onto our road. Presently a roundabout is reached providing access to shops on the left and the B4638 on the right.
We now continue along Berkeley Way, which is more of the same. A road on the right provides access to what is left of the old village of Warndon, now surrounded by modern housing. The B4639 soon ends at a roundabout on the A4440, just west of M5J6.
