Gillespie Crossroads is the junction of the A70 and the B701 in Juniper Green, Edinburgh. Although this is a minor junction it is lies on the old Edinburgh Ring Road and forms a junction for this: to the north, the B701 widens to Wester Hailes while to the south it takes a narrow, twisty route beside the Water of Leith to Colinton. In contrast, the A70 takes a straight line out of Edinburgh. This junction also provides access between the A70 and the A720 Edinburgh bypass, via Clovenstone Roundabout and Baberton Junction, since A70 and A720 have no direct connection.
The A70 runs from Edinburgh to Ayr.
The B701 runs from Gilmerton to Barnton.
