Drumbrae Junction lies within the City of Edinburgh and is the junction of the A90 and the B701.
It is a busy, signalised T junction, with a turning lane and filter on the A90 eastbound. To the south, the B701 (here named Drum Brae North) climbs very steeply to clear the ridge of Corstorphine Hill. The almost-parallel A902 Maybury Road from Barnton Junction provides an alternative, faster route to the west for traffic going out of the city, so this junction is mainly for local traffic.
