Gilmerton Crossroads is a busy signalised crossroads in the centre of the Gilmerton district of Edinburgh. It is where the A772 (formerly the A7) crosses the B701 as it works its way out of the city, with the B701 forming a suburban ring road, parts of which were formerly the A720, before the City Bypass was completed. The junction is surrounded by shops, businesses and the community centre, which means that only two of the arms are wide enough to provide narrow turning lanes for traffic on the approaches. These are the northern arm of the A772 and the western arm of the B701, both of which seem to have squeezed a bit of land from the community centre grounds for the purpose.
Routes
The junction is completely unsigned
