The M10 is a disputed motorway at Rathgarvan Junction. It is, in effect, sliproads of the M9 and, as it is unsigned, is considered by some to be merely that, rather than a separate motorway.
The M10 number comes from part of the N10 at Clifden being given the capital letters that denote motorways in the secondary legislation that defines N roads: "Between its junction with M9 at CLIFDEN and its junction with M9 at Danesfort via Templemartin, Blanchfieldsland, Middleknock, Kilkenny Ring Road, Smithsland South and Outrath all in the county of Kilkenny."
