M28 (Republic of Ireland)
|Distance:||12.5 km (7.8 miles)|
|Route outline (key)|
The M28 is planned to start at the Cork South Ring Road at a trumpet interchange. It will initially travel along the route of the former N28 on-line, and then will diverge to an off-line section. Eventually, the motorway regulations are planned to end, with the final stretch to the ferry terminal being a protected road.
Consultation took place about the preferred route in 2016 and the go-ahead was given in July 2018.
