This article is about the unbuilt motorway in Northern Ireland.
For the motorway in the Republic of Ireland, see M7 (Republic of Ireland).
For the motorway in the Republic of Ireland, see M7 (Republic of Ireland).
The M7 is an unbuilt motorway bypassing the A20 between central Belfast and Dundonald. There were vague plans to extend it to Newtownards.
The route was along a disused railway line, and as such is still easy to trace. Junctions would have been provided with the unbuilt section of the M3 near Middlepath Street; the A2 and A20 in Ballymacarrett; the A55 at Knock; and the A22 and a link back to the A20 SW of Dundonald.
