Two Junctions allow access to Tomatin, both were constructed in 1976 as part of the Tomatin bypass and Both will be upgraded when the A9 is dualled to the north. The northern junction is an at grade right turn junction with a deceleration lane for right turn traffic in the middle of the A9. There is a left turn deceleration lane for northbound traffic but that is not really necessary as most traffic will have turned off at the southern junction, more on that in a second... The A9 dualling plans for Tomatin to Moy show a grade separated junction constructed to the south of the existing junction with full access.

Tomatin South Junction
The Tomatin South Junction is located just off the Slochd Summit and allows access "through the back door" of Tomatin. Unlike the N junction this one has a very small gap for right tuning traffic leading to a number of close shaves at the terminus of the dual carriageway. With the A9 dualling plans set to close off all the right turns on the A9 this junction was going to be closed off. However a number of objections lead to a LILO being put into the plans which will be built during the scheme which started construction in October 2024.
