This article is about the Class III road numbered ZC1 maintained by Edinburgh Council.
For other roads numbered C1, see C1.
For other roads numbered C1, see C1.
The ZC1 starts on the A700, West Preston Street, a short distance from the Old Town and Holyrood Park. It heads south along the busy street of Causewayside and then Mayfield Road, running roughly parallel to the A701 to the east. Along this stretch, it passes the National Library of Scotland's Map Library, who have worked closely with SABRE on Sabre Maps in the past. The main road then turns and crosses the ZC1 at a skewed crossroads, with the ZC1 continuing south east along Kirk Brae and on to Lasswade Road. This slowly works its way out of the city, to reach the A720, City Bypass at Lasswade Junction. The route ends just beyond the westbound onslip, at the council boundary. The road continues to meet the A768.
