The B690 is a short urban B-road in Nottingham.
The road starts at a signalised junction with the A610 to the northeast of the city centre. At this point, the B690 is very useful for A610 traffic to access the southbound ring road. We reach the A6514 ring road quickly at a large roundabout. We cross over and enter the Broxtowe Estate.
The road continues along Aspley Lane, which is one of the main accesses into the Broxtowe Estate. Because of this, the road is wide, but also busy, with many side roads and traffic lights. The only major road of note that we encounter is the B6004, where our journey ends at a long roundabout that was originally a pair of small roundabouts.
