C114 (Newcastle upon Tyne)

The C114 is a short urban route in Newcastle's west end. It begins on the A189 Barrack Road adjacent to Leazes Park, forking off to the west on the climb away from the city centre. It skirts the southern edge of Nuns Moor, intersecting with the C116 Brighton Grove at traffic lights before passing the back entrance of the former Newcastle General Hospital. The route continues along Nuns Moor Road, now hemmed in with houses and shops on both sides, passing through another set of traffic lights at Wingrove Road which carries the C115. The C114 continues to wind its way through the west end, passing through a five-way mini-roundabout as it climbs gently past the shops and houses, until it ends at a small roundabout on the B1305 Two Ball Lonnen.
