Route outline (key)
B389 Thorpe - Virginia Water
The western end of the B389

The B389 is a short B-road through the village of Virginia Water in Surrey.

Originally the road started on the B388 in Thorpe. That road now bypasses the village so the B389 now starts on the bypass.

It heads west, almost immediately going underneath the M25 just to the north of Thorpe Interchange; the tunnel under the motorway is therefore longer than is usual.

After going through Thorpe Green the B389 crosses the London Waterloo to Reading railway line by Virginia Water station. It continues through the village, crossing an unclassified road at a roundabout before ending at a set of traffic lights opposite the Wheatsheaf Hotel on the A30. Virginia Water Lake is straight ahead but invisible from this point.
