For the current B310 in Belgravia, see B310.
The original route of the B310 was along the Thames Embankment between the King's Road and the Houses of Parliament.
It started on the A3217 King's Road in West Brompton and headed southeast to reach the River Thames. It then followed the river for over three miles and past six bridges to reach the Houses of Parliament. Originally the B310 ended here at the junction with Great College Street and so did not pass between Parliament and Westminster Abbey, as this was a private road and therefore unsuitable for classification.
It was not long before the A3212 (which originally only ran along Whitehall) was extended south along the full length of the B310, rendering that number redundant. The section west of Battersea Bridge is now part of the A3220.
