The B525 is a short link road to the north of Derry city centre. Owing to the road's short length its history is not known.
The road starts at traffic lights on the B507 Northland Road and heads northwest along the residential Duncreggan Road. We pass Foyle College on the left before gaining houses on both sides of the road. Presently, on the edge of an industrial area, the road TOTSOs left into Pennyburn Pass; Duncreggan Road, now unclassified, continues ahead and soon reaches the A2.
The B525 remains residential as it climbs Pennyburn Pass and bends to the right before ending at a T-junction on the A2 opposite St Patrick's Church.
