The C568 forms an H shaped route in and around the docks in Derry. It consists of two separate roads which both leave the A2 and head north with the western route passing through Strathfoyle before coming to a T junction. At the T junction the road to the left crosses the Derry railway line before terminating at the docks while the road to the right links to the eastern portion of the C568 which has come from the Maydown roundabout on the A2. The eastern portion of the route continues north from here and runs into the DuPoint complex.
