The B530 is a link road through the eastern suburbs of Derry. Owing to the road's short length its history is not known.
The road starts at traffic lights on the A6 by Eurospar and heads northeast along Rossdowney Road; this is industrial to start with but soon becomes residential. The road gradually bears round to the right and is presently heading southeastwards. After crossing a linear park we climb to journey's end at a roundabout on the A514 northern bypass.
