The C37 is a lengthy distributor route serving the south east corner of Cumbernauld. It starts at the seemingly incomplete Grade Separated Junction with the B8054, Lye Brae, and heads north east, curving around the south and east sides of Abronhill with fields and woodland to the south. At a large roundabout, the route turns right and becomes a dual carriageway, curving north then north west around the edge of the urban area and entering the Wardpark Industrial area. Soon after passing under the M80, the route comes to an end at a roundabout on the B816.
