The C50 starts on the B804 at Croftfoot, a little to the east of Gartcosh and heads north along Glenboig Road to Drumcavel Road. The northern half of the route was moved eastwards when the M73 was built, and the old road line seems to have disappeared either side of the motorway. The northern end survives, however, as the entrance to Drumcavel Quarry.
