The C82 is a lengthy north-south route which runs roughly parallel to the A73 a little to the west. It starts on the A71 bypass at Bonkle and winds along Church Road, doglegging right onto Murdostoun Road. After crossing the South Calder Water, this meanders through woodland and across fields in a generally northerly direction, eventually reaching the B7066 a little to the east of Newhouse.
