Killarney

Killarney is a town in County Kerry, well-established as a tourist destination.

This is because it is the most significant town on the Ring of Kerry tourist route.

The attractive backdrop over the Lakes of Killarney does have one drawback: it limits the possible routes for the N71. It manages to bypass some of the town on Port Road, while the N22 does formally bypass the town to the north. There are still talks about a formal bypass for the N71 to truly address the traffic problem.
