This article is about the current B405 in Kensington.
For the original B405 on Trafalgar Square, see B405 (Trafalgar Square)
The B405 is a short road in the Kensington area of London. It was originally unclassified but had gained Class II status by at least the 1950s.
The road starts on the A4204 Kensington Church Street. That road bends left by Our Lady Church and the B405 continues along its northerly alignment. It runs along Vicarage Gate, which becomes one-way northbound after the first side road. It's not long before the road gives way and TOTSOs right, still on Vicarage Gate but now two-way again, then bears sharply left into Palace Gardens Terrace.
The road continues north along the tree-lined residential road and shortly ends at a T-junction at a one-way loop back on the A4204, where traffic is forced to turn left. Although Palace Gardens Terrace is two-way elsewhere traffic may not leave the A4204 at this point.
