The B402 is a short B-road in central London.
Originally it started on the A4 at Piccadilly Circus and headed east along Coventry Street via Leicester Square. This is now unclassified, however, and the road starts at the next classified road east, the A400 Charing Cross Road, by Leicester Square tube station.
The B402 continues east along Long Acre and Great Queen Street, passing two B-roads and Covent Garden tube station en route, to end on the A4200 Kingsway, near Lincoln's Inn Fields.
Much of the B402 is one-way and it is not possible to follow the road in its entirety except on foot. The first block, Cranbourn Street alongside Leicester Square station, is one-way westbound, although eastbound traffic can use the parallel (and unclassified) Great Newport Street. Long Acre is attracted to the B401 Endell Street - in other words traffic is one-way towards that road in both directions and traffic must either turn north into that road or south into the unclassified Bow Street. It is only Great Queen Street that is two-way.
