The B566 was a short link road in Northampton town centre, connecting the A43 with itself to avoid the very centre of town.
It started on the A43 Bridge Street and headed east along Victoria Promenade. After meeting the A428 it turned northwards and met the A43 Abington Street again at the northern end of York Road.
The road opposite at this junction was the B567 and that road took over the entire B566 later on, to form half a ring road. In more recent years traffic has been moved away from the very centre of town and the ex-B566 is now part of the A5123 relief road.
