The B521 is a short link road in the Holborn area of East Central London. The road was originally unclassified but, going by its number, gained Class II status in the late 1920s.
The road starts at Holborn Circus, a signalised junction where five classified roads meet, the B521 being the least important. It heads north, initially one-way away from the junction but becomes two-way soon afterwards - there's not a lot of room for traffic coming the other way to turn round.
The road continues north along Hatton Garden, a narrow, albeit straight, traffic-calmed road lined with shops and offices. At the far end there are a couple of bends before the road ends at a T-junction on the A5201 Clerkenwell Road.
