The Stranraer - Belfast route was most recently run by Stena Line, but since 2011 ferry operations have transferred to the Loch Ryan port at Cairnryan instead. See Cairnryan - Belfast ferry.
New vessels were used on the new route from the outset, and no HSC linkspan was provided at the Cairnryan Port, so the cessation of operations at Stranraer caused the disposal of the Voyager, Caledonia, and Navigator.
