The A5143 is a suburban A-road to the south of Stockport, Cheshire. It was originally unclassified but gained its number in the 1960s.
The road starts at the Bramall Roundabout in Bramhall. It heads east along Bridge Lane, soon crossing the Lady Brook. It then becomes the southern edge of the urban area, with Stockport to the left and open fields behind the houses to the right.
We cross a couple of roundabouts and continue along Jackson's Lane into Hazel Grove. After passing the high school the road becomes more built-up and we follow Dean Lane to end at traffic lights at the Five Ways crossroads on the A523 to the south of the town centre.
