The B6171 is a short urban road on the southeast side of Stockport. The road was originally unclassified but gained its number in the 1940s.
The road links the A6 at Heaviley to the A626 at Offerton. The route is tree-lined and, after passing between Stockport Cemetery and Aquinas sixth-form college at its western end, is largely bordered by semi-detached housing.
