The A9012 was a short link road through the western suburbs of Aberdeen. The road - and its number - appears to date to the 1930s.
The road started at the Six Roads Roundabout where today only five roads actually meet, two being unclassified, two the A978 and the other the A9012. The route headed north along Hilton Drive then immediately TOTSOed left into the sixth road, Rosehill Drive (the remainder of Hilton Drive is unclassified). The road here is a nondescript residential road, climbing to the northwest. At the far end, the route passed a couple of blocks of flats and ended at a roundabout on the A92. The road ahead is unclassified.
The A9012 first appears on the OS Six Inch Map from 1938, and remained on the same route for over 80 years. It lost its number in 2020 following a significant reclassification of routes within Aberdeen.
