The B984 is a short dual carriageway link road between the A96 at Craibstone Roundabout and Aberdeen Airport. It runs along Airport Road to Dyce Drive, with two intermediate junctions for the business parks alongside it. Heading north from the A96, the route starts off with two lanes, widening to four with turning lanes for the first junction. Briefly rerstricted to 3 lanes, there are a total of 6 at the second junction, with the final section back down to three lanes once more. Southbound there are three or four lanes most of the way, reducing to two on the approach to Craibstone.
The road was classified in 2020 following a review of principal and secondary routes in Aberdeen after the opening of the A90 Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route.
