Ashted Circus is Junction 15 of the Birmingham Middle Ring.
It was constructed as an at grade roundabout with pedestrian underpasses, replacing a crossroads. The intention was for the junction to become a three level stacked roundabout with grade separation for both the A47 and A4540. This never materialised.
In 2018, the junction was converted into a signalised crossroads as part of a pinch point scheme. It still retains the Circus name even though it is no longer a roundabout.
