|Route outline (key)|
The road leaves the A390 between Middle Taphouse and East Taphouse and heads south, climbing to cross the fields. Although the road is undulating it tries to run along the top of a ridge for the majority of its route, with the West Looe River to the east.
The road goes round the edge of Bury Down and remains rural - the only village on the route, Pelynt, is met as it approaches its southern end. The road runs along the main street, passing the church and village green before reentering open country. The road soon reaches the hamlet of Barcelona, where it ends at a T-junction on the A387.
