Mold High Street
The B5444 follows the pre-bypass line of the A541 through Mold in northeast Wales. It gained its present number around 1970.
The route starts northwest of Mold town centre at the junction of Denbigh Road at the start of the A541 bypass (Hall View Road). Heading southeastwards it eventually becomes Mold High Street, from where there is a short spur running northeastward along King Street, past the police station, to reach a roundabout on the A5119 and A541.
At the end of the High Street the road intersects the A5119 (New Street / Chester Street) before continuing along Wrexham Street and Wrexham Road. At the exit from the town the B5444 crosses the A494 west-to-north bypass at a large roundabout junction, before continuing southeastward to rejoin the A541 near the village of Llong.
