The B5411 is a short road heading north from Preston. It was originally unclassified but gained its number in the early 1930s.
Starting at the "Lane Ends" junction with the A5085, the B5411 heads north along Woodplumpton Road over the Lancaster Canal bridge. Even though it's running through the heart of Preston, this road still has a ruralish feel to it! We then climb a short hill to a mini-roundabout with Cadley Causeway. Here the road name changes to Tag Lane and we continue past the former Tulketh High School and into the Ingol area of Preston. We then approach the Nog Tow roundabout and intersect with the B6241 on its journey round Preston.
Continuing on, the road reaches open countryside after a short while and then crosses the M55 with no junction. A little while later we reach the village of Woodplumpton. After running through the village centre the road meets the B5269 and our journey on the B5411 comes to an end.
