The B6408 is a short link road in the Peak District town of Bakewell. It was originally unclassified; owing to its short length its history is not fully known but it is shown on the 1938 OS mapping.
The road runs along Station Road, Bakewell: not much more than a quarter of a mile up a steep hill from the A619 at Bakewell bridge to the far side of the railway line, apparently serving Bakewell Station (closed since 1968). It is still useful as the road to a light industrial estate, housing developments and the golf course, but should probably have been declassified years ago. It even has a TOTSO on its route at the entrance to the industrial estate.
