The B6473 is a short link road in Whitefield. It was originally a part of the A668 but gained its present number when that route was abolished in the 1970s.
The road starts at traffic lights opposite a modern shopping complex on the A56 Bury New Road. It heads northwest along Radcliffe New Road, quickly becoming residential. After a bend to the left the road remains straight for the rest of its length. It ends after less than a quarter of a mile at a mini-roundabout. Here the A665 comes in from the left and continues ahead along the remainder of Radcliffe New Road.
