This version of the B6452 follows the route of the former A6092 in Galashiels, with the present number dating to the 1980s.
The road starts at a sharply angled junction on the A7 High Buckholmeside; whilst that road descends our road does not and we follow the parallel High Road. There are houses to the left but on the right there's a drop down to the railway line and the A7 on the far side. Presently we start to descend and quickly end at a T-junction on the B6374 Melrose Road.
