The A1153, formerly the B1423, is a short link road in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.
At the eastern end of Alfreds Way in Barking there is a roundabout GSJ on the A13, which provides access to the A123 and A1153. The latter heads north along the residential Lodge Avenue, with a sizeable gap in the houses where it goes over the District Line. The road then passes between a park and school playing-field to reach a mini-roundabout by Dagenham Roundhouse. We bear right here; the other road is unclassified.
We continue northeastwards along the residential Porters Avenue. There is a slight bend to the left at a mini-roundabout on the edge of another park, after which the road becomes dual. It's not D2, however, as the left lane in both directions is, when it exists, marked out as on-street parking and a cycle lane. At the next mini-roundabout we enter the shopping area of Becontree and we end just afterwards at traffic lights on the A124.
