The B1401 was a short link road in north Lincolnshire. It came into existence around 1926 when the A1098 was created as a direct route between Cleethorpes and the A16, severing the then-B1198 in the process. The small northern section of that road left behind, running from the A1098 to Clee, was renumbered as the B1401.
The road started on the A1030 in Clee Village and headed south for about a mile to meet the A1098, which then continued further along the original B1198 into Humberston.
By 1932, the B1401 had been upgraded to an extended A1031, which remains the case today.
