The B1446 was a short link road on Teesside. The road was originally unclassified. The 1932 Ten-Mile Map appears to give the road Class I status but the B1446 number came into being around 1935. In more recent years road improvements in the area have declassified the road again, although the A66 runs along a similar route.
The road started on the A175 as that turned from Middlesbrough Road onto Normanby Road. The B1446 continued east from here along Middlesbrough Road then bore right onto Eston Road to enter Grangetown. After running east through the centre of town along Bolckow Road before bearing right onto Tees Dock Road to end on the A1085 Trunk Road. This final stretch has been taken over by the A1053.
