The B3036 largely follows the line of the old A334 before the link road to the M27 was built, and is less than a mile and a half long.
Starting at junction 7 of the M27, the road heads south past the golf course before a swing to the left leads it back to the original route of the A334 (the old route of that road west of here is now lost under the motorway). The road then runs in pretty much a straight line towards a meeting with the B3033 at a set of lights in Hedge End.
