Glenrothes is a New Town in east Fife, lying just off the A92. As is common with New Towns, it has a lot of good, wide roads, broken up by an inordinate number of roundabouts. The A911 bisects it east-west, loosely following the valley of the River Leven, while the B921 navigates the town's southern side, and the B969 and B9130 respectively serve its west and east.

Although roads are by far the best means of navigating Glenrothes, there are two nearby railway stations, at Markinch and Glenrothes With Thornton (which is in Thornton). Some maps shows Fife Airport on the southwest corner, but you'll have a long wait if you try to fly there.
