Spittlegate Junction is a dumbbell junction on the A1 Grantham bypass with the A52 Grantham Southern Relief Road. It was largely constructed in 2020 & 2021, with the main construction ending in December 2021. The junction opened to traffic on the 20th December 2022, although the rest of the Grantham Southern Relief Road is due to be opened in 2024. Some of the signs are temporary, whilst others have got "A52" covered up. OS maps show the connection between the A1 and B1172 as the A52 before the GSRR was completed, and even before the junction was opened.
It is named after Spittlegate Farm, which is to the north east of the junction.
