Leeming Interchange is junction 51 of the A1(M).
As part of the ongoing upgrade of the A1 to A1(M), this junction has been built to serve the new A684 Leeming Bar bypass. For a few years it acted as a northern temporary terminus of the A1(M), until late 2016 when the Leeming to Barton improvements opened.
In planning it was called New Leeming Junction, to avoid confusion with the now-closed exit on the A1 at Aiskew.
