The B9068 is one of the three B-roads on the island of Sanday, and is the only one to meet the other two main roads. It forms a link between the B9069 near Kettletoft through the parish of Cross to Burness, where it terminates near the house of Scar.
The road is generally of a decent quality, being of an S2 width until the final stretch near the graveyard by Scar, where the road narrows. A section of the road near Otterswick was notorious for flooding in the winter during a high tide.
