For the original B9093 at Potarch Bridge, see B9093 (Potarch - Aboyne).
The B9093 is a link road in north Aberdeenshire. It was originally unclassified but had gained its number by 1932.
The route starts on the A950 to the south of New Pitsligo and heads east along a series of long straights across the open fields. It slowly loses height and then, after going through a wood, it crosses a moor before descending into the valley of the North Ugie Water. Although the road crosses the slope, the descent is quite steep in a couple of places before it turns to cross the river and enter Strichen. Just beyond the bridge it meets the A981 at a crossroads, and crosses it, immediately turning round to the right onto High Street. The two routes then slowly diverge from each other as they head south through the town. In front of the church, the B9093 has to dogleg right to stay on the High Street, which soon passes the village shops and a fine assortment of old stone buildings, including the tall tower of the Tollbooth.
At the far end of the long High Street, the route turns to the left and soon leaves the village behind, as it heads east. It zigzags under the line of the former Aberdeen to Fraserburgh railway, now a footpath, as it climbs quite steeply through a gap in the low hills. It then winds round to bear southeastwards and after a couple of bends the road straightens out. It undulates gently across the agricultural landscape of gently rolling fields with houses and farms dotted about. After a sharper bend to the right, the route follows a long straight and it's not long before it reaches journey's end at a T-junction on the A952 at Denhead.
