Barrhead Road Interchange is junction 2 of the M77. It is a complicated junction which was heavily modified in 2005/6 to accommodate the construction of the neighbouring Silverburn Shopping Centre in 2007. The north facing slips remain as originally built, and therefore are of a Diamond interchange pattern, meeting the B762 at signals on either side of the motorway. However, the south facing slips were both moved to give direct access to and from the shopping centre. This involved re-routing the whole motorway in a wide curve to allow a new under bridge for the southbound onslip to be installed. This sliproad now passes under the motorway on a skew to meet the northbound offslip at a roundabout at the car park entrance, from where a dual carriageway runs north alongside the motorway to meet the B762 at signals almost opposite the northbound onslip.
