The C78, maintained by Staffordshire Council, is a Wolverhampton radial route running between the A449 not far south of Lloyd Hill Roundabout and the A458 at Six Ashes.
It starts as a local access route for housing on the edge of the main urban area, heading through the commuter village of Wombourne, then passing along the edge of Wolverhampton Airport and the Halfpenny Green vineyards on the way to its Six Ashes terminus.
