The B6394 is a short loop off the B6374 in the Darnick area of Melrose, Roxburghshire. The road was originally unclassified but presumably gained its number in the mid-1920s.
The road turns off the B6374 opposite the entrance to Waverley Castle Hotel and heads south along Abbotsford Road. There's a field on the right to begin with but the road soon becomes built-up. We zigzag through Darnick before a sweeping left-hand bend takes us back in sight of open fields, with the Eildon Hills visible beyond.
Continuing east the road soon reaches the outskirts of Melrose and runs along High Cross Avenue. After passing between two churches the road ends at a T-junction back on the B6374. The town centre lies to the right.
