The B100 in Central London runs between the A1 and the A501 along Beech Street (passing under the Barbican Centre in an impressive pseudo-tunnel that features junctions inside it) and Chiswell Street. It then continues through Finsbury Square, where the official line of the B100 is one-way westbound, and along Sun Street before ending at the junction with the unclassified Appold Street.
In 1922 the B100 consisted of only Chiswell Street – there being at that time no classified roads in the City of London.
Trivia
The Beech Street tunnel was used regularly in the BBC TV series Ashes to Ashes, purely to show off DCI Hunt's Audi Quattro!
