The B3148 is a short rural B-road in the West Country, avoiding Yeovil.
It starts on the A359 at Marston Magna in Somerset and heads more-or-less straight in a roughly southeasterly direction. It crosses the Castle Cary to Yeovil railway line before climbing to White Post, where it moves into Dorset.
The B3148 continues to ascend to climb Charlock Hill before descending into Sherborne where it terminates on the A30.
